Better Axe-Shredder: Friedman/Mustaine vs. Hammett

BulletProofChen: Just listen to the guitar solos from Justice versus Rust in Peace. It's pretty clear that Friedman and Mustaine are both better guitarists than Hammett. The solos flow a lot better because Hammett can't play fast notes in constant time, some notes are played just a little bit faster or slower than other notes. This makes his solos feel a little jerky. Plus Friedman and Mustaine display better musical touch. Hammett sounds rough by comparison.
